Administration, Cybersecurity, Project Management

From Information Security to Work Breakdown Structures, IT is my passion. Eager to take on projects and learn new concepts, I am ready to create artifacts that will bring value to your company.

My name is Michael Maxwell. I am originally from Moore, Oklahoma but grew up in Katy, TX where I graduated from Obra D. Tompkins High school in 2018. Currently, I am a student at Texas Tech University majoring in Information Technology (Cybersecurity focus) with a minor in Technical Communication. I participate in numerous hobbies such as hiking, reading, astronomy, and coding. I also like to volunteer at volunteer events. During Hurricane Harvey, I aided in tearing down damaged homes as well as handing out food and supplies to those affected by the hurricane. At Texas Tech I have volunteered for Raiders against Hunger events for the IISE club.

Through my time at Texas Tech, I have gained experience through my coursework in learning the many principles of Cybersecurity as well as Project Management. I have also learned about different genres of communication and have produced artifacts including reports, essays, and articles. Outside of my studies, I am currently pursuing certifications in AWS, Azure, and Security+.

I plan on pursuing an opportunity in the Infosec field. I previously have experience working as an Intern at Progeny Systems, LLC. In this internship, I worked to review, edit, and compile a Body of Evidence for the company CUI (Controlled Unclassified Information) SSP. Along with this, I performed auditing duties such as logging, monitoring, and reporting events in the corporate network utilizing SolarWinds.
